Description:

Fidelity Canada, a leading investment management firm with over 35 years of experience in helping Canadian investors build better financial futures, is seeking a Manager RDSP to join their Client Services department. This role will play a pivotal part in overseeing the administration, client engagement, and transaction processing functions for Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSPs).

As a Manager RDSP, you will be responsible for team leadership, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. You will drive innovation and continuous improvement, aligning operational procedures with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations. The role also includes staff coaching, performance management, strategic planning, and relationship building across multiple departments and industry networks.

Key Responsibilities:

🟩 Leadership & People Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing RDSP team aligned with Fidelity’s values.

  • Provide coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and support continuous learning and development.

  • Partner with HR for talent retention, goal setting, and succession planning.

  • Foster an inclusive, engaged, and growth-focused work environment.

🟩 Operational Management:

  • Oversee the RDSP department’s daily operations and ensure compliance with ESDC and CRA regulations.

  • Ensure processing efficiency, accuracy, and timely resolution of client transactions.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs aligned with industry regulations.

  • Interface directly with ESDC and other stakeholders on compliance and operational issues.

🟩 Strategic Direction & Influence:

  • Contribute to and influence the strategic business planning process.

  • Partner with other internal departments to optimize workflows and risk management.

  • Present strategic recommendations and analysis to senior management and executive teams.

  • Proactively adapt to regulatory changes and industry developments.

🟩 Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders in Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams.

  • Represent Fidelity in industry groups like IFIC and FundSERV.

  • Drive continuous improvements in client experience through Voice of the Customer feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of RDSP-specific administrative and policy knowledge.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a financial services environment.

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) or equivalent work experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ESDC & CRA RDSP regulations and procedures.

  • Familiarity with CIRO (formerly MFDA/IIROC), RQ, and other industry regulatory frameworks.

  • Completion of CSC or IFIC (asset).

  • Strong analytical, project management, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

  • Experience within the asset management or mutual funds industry is preferred.
