Manager, Design, Production & Operations

Description:

A university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Design, Museum Studies, Liberal Arts, Interpretive Planning, History, Science), plus at least four (4) years of experience managing teams responsible for design and production of exhibits, or similar deliverables. Equivalencies of related experience or education may be considered on a one-for-one basis.

Required:

• Experience leading, coaching and motivating a team of creative professionals.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage change and achieve positive results.
• Ability to conceive, manage and deliver projects involving complex schedules and deliverables.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and human resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A class 5 driver’s license.

Assets:

• Management experience in the context of a museum or science centre.
• Experience working as an exhibit or graphic designer, fabricator, museum technician or in another profession related to designing and producing exhibits.
