Description:

Acosta, a leading retail, marketing, and foodservice agency, is seeking a Manager Business Sales Agency to oversee assigned principals’ business within a defined marketing area. The role’s primary focus is to increase sales and market share of represented brands while ensuring profitability for both the manufacturers and Acosta.

The Manager is responsible for achieving sales fundamentals including merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving at minimal cost. The role involves close collaboration with Retail Sales Managers, Sales Technology Managers, Marketing Managers, Business Managers, and the broader retail selling organization to execute in-store presence and business objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver volume, market share, and sales fundamental goals for assigned principals.

  • Achieve objectives at minimal selling costs while maximizing revenue (including brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and contest earnings).

  • Communicate principals’ priorities to relevant teams and ensure successful execution in stores.

  • Report to the General Manager or Team Leader and maintain relationships with principals and customers.

  • Develop and present Acosta introductions to new principals.

  • Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on major retail initiatives including product launches, selling drives, and contests.

  • Coordinate market visits, key account calls, and principal communications.

  • Utilize company leadership and resources to develop strategic sales presentations and achieve business objectives.

  • Provide feedback on principals’ strategies and programs, ensuring market competitiveness.

  • Maintain account distribution information and review competitive pricing reports regularly.

  • Manage personal skill development and ensure compliance with client procedures and financial management.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, meeting the physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably with a food broker or national company.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.

  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing data for effective presentations.

  • Proficiency in relevant software supporting the sales function.

  • Willingness to travel.
