Through counseling, housing, education, and community programs, YouthLink plays a vital role in supporting young people facing mental health challenges, homelessness, and systemic barriers — helping them build stronger futures and a thriving Scarborough community.
The organization is seeking a Manager, Fund Development and Donor Relations to lead its fundraising and donor engagement efforts. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this individual will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources needed to sustain and expand YouthLink’s impactful programs.
This position offers a meaningful opportunity for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven fundraising professional to take ownership of the organization’s fund development strategy and directly contribute to positive social change.
Fundraising Leadership:
Design, implement, and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to generate revenue through major gifts, individual donors, corporate sponsorships, grants, private foundations, and signature events.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and manage an annual fundraising plan aligned with YouthLink’s mission and goals, while identifying new opportunities for community and corporate engagement.
Donor Stewardship:
Cultivate, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and potential donors through effective communication, recognition, and engagement strategies.
Revenue Growth:
Drive measurable fundraising results by increasing individual giving, expanding donor networks, and establishing recurring giving programs that ensure sustainability.
Data and Reporting:
Oversee and maintain donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect) to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper reconciliation with financial systems. Generate analytical reports to guide decision-making and fundraising performance tracking.
Communications & Brand Building:
Collaborate with internal teams, including the Social Media and Marketing Specialist, to develop targeted communications, proposals, and campaigns that amplify YouthLink’s visibility and mission.
Equity and Inclusion Advocacy:
Integrate Equity, Diversity, and Belonging (EDB) best practices into all fundraising activities, ensuring inclusive donor engagement and equitable storytelling.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide strategic direction, coaching, and support to ensure alignment between fundraising, communications, and community engagement initiatives.
Event Management:
Plan, organize, and execute community fundraising events and donor appreciation activities that inspire giving and strengthen relationships.
Education:
Post-secondary education (College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree) required. A CFRE designation or a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations is considered an asset.
Experience:
At least 2 years of progressive fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector.
Experience working in youth services, mental health, homelessness, or healthcare fundraising preferred.
Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets and manage multiple fundraising channels.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Experience with donor management software (DonorPerfect preferred) or ability to learn quickly.

Annual Salary: 80,000 CAD (approx. 6667 CAD per month)
