Description:

Artech L.L.C. is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a contract role based in Toronto, ON, offering a hybrid work model with 2 days onsite per week. The role focuses on end-to-end accountability for project delivery, ensuring successful completion of high-value and complex technical projects. The Technical Project Manager will direct cross-functional teams, coordinate business and technology resources, and maintain rigorous oversight of project scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

This position requires a PMP certification, strong expertise in project management methodologies, and proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile approaches. Candidates with backgrounds in Computer Science or Information Systems are preferred but not mandatory.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful completion within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.

  • Coordinate team members, internal/external consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives.

  • Ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality and provide quantifiable business benefits.

Project Communications Management

  • Report administrative, financial, and project status metrics to Business Sponsors and stakeholders.

  • Maintain transparency and accountability in project reporting.

Project Cost Management

  • Manage project budgets up to approved funding limits.

  • Partner with Finance and stakeholders for monthly reporting requirements, including compliance and issue management.

Project Resource Management

  • Apply change management skills to identify impacts on people, processes, and technology.

  • Design and implement change and adoption plans for end users and stakeholders.

Project Risk Management

  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks related to technology, procurement, business processes, and requirements.

Project Schedule Management

  • Ensure on-time delivery of project solutions, coordinating schedules and resources effectively.

Project Scope Management

  • Identify project drivers and constraints.

  • Navigate organizational complexity to coordinate stakeholders and deliver solutions successfully.

Project Quality Management

  • Establish governance bodies and project oversight mechanisms.

  • Engage stakeholders to ensure superior customer experience and compliance with standards.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Project Management education required; PMP certification mandatory.

  • Degrees in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred but not required.

  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, including SDLC, Clarity, MS Project, SharePoint, and both Waterfall and Agile approaches.

  • Strong relationship management, consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
