Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Directeur(trice), Services de Santé (Health and Wellness Manager) to join their vibrant senior living community in Québec City. The selected candidate will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care while enjoying a fulfilling and meaningful lifestyle that exceeds their expectations.
This position requires a dynamic nursing professional who demonstrates strong leadership, empathy, and a commitment to providing personalized, relationship-based care. The Health and Wellness Manager ensures the smooth operation of all care services and fosters an environment of safety, trust, and well-being for residents, families, and staff members alike.
Oversee Resident Health & Wellness: Monitor and support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents, ensuring individualized care plans meet their specific needs.
Lead the Care Team: Provide direction, coaching, and motivation to nursing and care staff to maintain high professional standards and a compassionate environment.
Ensure Quality Care Delivery: Supervise the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and organizational policies.
Foster Meaningful Relationships: Build strong, trust-based connections with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Promote Resident Engagement: Encourage activities and programs that enhance residents’ independence, dignity, and enjoyment of daily life.
Ensure Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with management to support the residence’s daily operations, health services, and staff scheduling.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Uphold safety and infection control standards for residents, visitors, and staff.
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) designation.
Proven experience in a healthcare or senior living management role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, resident-focused approach.
Demonstrated leadership ability to guide and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for occasional operational needs.
