Deloitte, one of Canada’s leading professional services firms, is seeking a Manager for its Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in Toronto. As a Manager in the Assurance group, you will lead and support clients on complex accounting and reporting matters, including IFRS, ASPE, and U.S. GAAP frameworks. You’ll also participate in significant transactional and regulatory events such as IPOs, prospectus filings, and accounting due diligence engagements.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assurance and advisory projects.
Provide clients with expert guidance on complex accounting matters and financial reporting.
Draft detailed technical accounting memorandums and ensure compliance with IFRS, ASPE, and U.S. GAAP standards.
Participate in accounting due diligence, IPO preparations, and regulatory filings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the country and globally to deliver best-in-class client service.
Develop and lead communications, presentations, and client workshops on technical accounting topics.
Contribute to business development initiatives, marketing campaigns, and thought leadership activities.
Mentor and coach junior team members to foster professional growth within the Assurance team.
The Accounting & Reporting Advisory team focuses on providing strategic and technical accounting solutions to CFOs and finance teams. The group assists organizations with standard adoptions, process enhancements, and regulatory compliance. As part of this high-growth team, you’ll gain exposure to diverse industries and be positioned as a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex reporting challenges.
CPA designation (or in progress).
5–6 years of relevant accounting or assurance experience.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS, ASPE, U.S. GAAP, internal controls (CSOX/PCAOB), and risk management.
Proven experience in accounting research, financial analysis, and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Experience in the financial services or public sector is an asset.
Competitive salary between CAD 74,000 and 156,000 per year.
