Holstein Québec, a leading organization dedicated to the promotion, improvement, and development of Holstein cattle breeding across Quebec, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Conseiller(ère) for the Centre-Sud du Québec region. This position is ideal for someone who is deeply engaged in the dairy industry, values collaboration, and wishes to contribute to the growth and success of dairy producers throughout the province.

As a key representative of Holstein Québec, you will work closely with dairy farmers, providing expert advice and personalized support to enhance herd development strategies and improve herd performance. Your role will involve frequent interaction with regional Holstein clubs, organizing educational and promotional activities, and facilitating knowledge sharing within the dairy community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise dairy producers on herd development strategies to help them achieve their production and breeding objectives.

• Collaborate with local Holstein clubs to promote initiatives related to breed improvement and genetic enhancement.

• Organize, coordinate, and participate in training and information sessions focused on the tools and services offered by Holstein Québec.

• Promote and represent Holstein Québec’s programs, services, and mission within the dairy farming community.

• Animate and officiate cattle judging events and represent the association in official capacities.

• Lead awareness and outreach activities to simplify and communicate Holstein Québec’s services to an agricultural audience.

• Travel frequently throughout the Centre-Sud region to meet members and producers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in Agricultural Technology with a specialization in dairy production or a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy (or related field).

• In-depth knowledge of Holstein breeding practices and the dairy industry in Quebec.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for customer service and advisory work.

• Strong sense of organization, autonomy, and teamwork.

• Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned region.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently in the field.
