Description:
Jack.org, a leading youth mental health organization in Canada, is seeking a Manager, Major Gifts to lead and grow a portfolio of major donors. This role is pivotal in securing donations of $50,000 or more from individuals and family foundations, contributing to the sustainability and impact of Jack.org’s mission to empower youth mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation (45%)
Lead a personal portfolio with a revenue target of $600,000.
Build and manage a pipeline of high-capacity donors.
Identify and cultivate new giving communities across Canada.
Develop customized donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
Collaborate with the Director, VP, Founder, and Board members on donor engagement.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship (30%)
Implement stewardship plans to ensure long-term donor engagement.
Re-engage lapsed donors with tailored strategies.
Create customized proposals and impact reports.
Liaise with senior leadership to deepen donor relationships.
Planned Giving Program Oversight (5%)
Support the execution of planned giving strategies.
Implement lead generation and stewardship tactics for legacy giving.
Collaborate on campaigns promoting planned giving opportunities.
Planning and Administration (20%)
Support annual budget and planning processes for the major gifts portfolio.
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
Track and analyze portfolio performance, flagging risks or deviations.
Represent the Development team internally and externally.
Qualifications and Skills:
Post-secondary education in fundraising, sales, communications, or related field.
Proven track record of securing $50K+ gifts.
Strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with planned giving concepts and Salesforce/CRM platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
CFRE designation and French language skills are an asset.
