Job Description:

The Physiotherapist – 0–5 Years First-Line Follow-Up Program evaluates and treats physical function impairments related to the neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiorespiratory systems of young children.

The role involves developing treatment plans and delivering therapeutic interventions to help children achieve optimal functional outcomes.

This position is a maternity leave replacement within a multidisciplinary team focused on early childhood motor development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physical deficiencies and disabilities in young children (ages 0–5).

  • Determine and implement treatment plans targeting optimal functional recovery.

  • Work within an interdisciplinary team that values collaboration and mutual support.

  • Provide specialized intervention for various motor development issues in children.

  • Treat children with musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., torticollis, plagiocephaly).

  • Identify issues, form clinical impressions, and establish appropriate treatment objectives.

  • Participate in ongoing clinical coordination and interdisciplinary co-development meetings.

  • Collaborate with a supportive team, including a clinical coordinator, administrative agent, and department lead.


Qualifications / Exigences:

  • Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (Maîtrise en physiothérapie).

  • Member in good standing of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ).

  • Strong interest in pediatric care and early motor development.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

  • Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills.
