Maintenance Manager Position

Description:

The Maintenance Manager is a critical role within our long-term care home as it impacts the
lives of residents through the strong leadership and motivation of Valley Manor team members.
The successful candidate will be eligible for pension, health & dental benefits, RRSP and paid
education

Description of Role:

• Manage the maintenance services of the home and all team members in the maintenance

department.

• Plans, co-ordinates, directs and monitors the effectiveness of all operational activities within

the maintenance department• Maintains the building (includes equipment, furnishings and
fixtures)

• Maintains the external grounds for all seasons

Manages the waste program for the home.

• Leads the fire safety program for the home.
• Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program for maintenance service
• Management and oversight of the routine and preventative maintenance program for the home.

• WHMIS training would be considered an asset
• Occupational Health and Safety Certification preferred.
