Locum Otolaryngologist

Description:

Mackenzie Health, a leading healthcare organization serving over half a million residents, is seeking a Locum Otolaryngologist to join its Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology, providing services across Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. This temporary locum role is set to start in September/October 2025 (flexible start date) and requires a minimum three-month commitment, with the possibility of an extended term.

The Locum Otolaryngologist will provide comprehensive general ENT services, participate in on-call rotations, perform ENT surgeries, and maintain regular operating room schedules. Additional responsibilities include hosting weekly procedure clinics, managing office consultations, and delivering patient-centred care in line with Mackenzie Health’s values of Excellence, Leadership, and Empathy. The physician will also be expected to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and safety.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

• Post-graduate training in otolaryngology with FRCSC certification

• Member in good standing of the Canadian Medical Protection Association (CMPA)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, attendance reliability, and compassionate care
