Taslan Protective Services Inc. is currently recruiting licensed Security Guards to support the PRIDE events in Downtown Toronto in June 2025. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for individuals looking to earn additional income while playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and success of one of Toronto's most vibrant and inclusive celebrations.

The main responsibilities of the Security Guard for this assignment will include:

• Monitoring and Patrolling: Ensure the safety of event attendees and staff by patrolling assigned areas and monitoring activities.

• Crowd Control: Help manage large crowds to ensure a smooth and safe event, and assist with any crowd-related issues as needed.

• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond quickly to any emergencies, incidents, or disturbances to maintain a secure environment.

• Access Control: Monitor event entrances and exits, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.

• Collaboration: Work closely with event organizers and law enforcement to maintain security at all times.

• 24-Hour Site Coverage: Ensure the event is monitored continuously, with security presence required around the clock. Some overnight shifts may be necessary to ensure full coverage.

The assignment will be a short-term role, with shifts required during the PRIDE events, typically held over several days. Flexibility in availability is crucial as you may be required to work different shifts, including overnight hours.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Security Guard: A valid security guard license is required for this position.

• Experience: Prior experience in security services is beneficial but not necessarily required. A willingness to work in a high-energy environment and contribute to the overall success of the event is essential.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and patrol large areas.

• Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overnight, during the event period.

• Strong Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with event staff, law enforcement, and the public.
