Licensed Practical Nurse

 

Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, culturally safe, and trauma-informed nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. The position supports clients through medically supervised withdrawal management and residential treatment by delivering evidence-based clinical interventions and promoting holistic wellness.
 

  • Responsible for the overall care of the clients assigned to them as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Administers medication and treatments as ordered by the physician, including oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with LPN scope of practice, pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conducts patient assessments and ongoing monitoring as required.
  • Processes and implements physicians' and/or NP orders, identifying and seeking clarification as necessary

What You Will Bring To The Role
 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Successful completion of additional education where Mental Health and/or Substance Use are the primary diagnosis as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) or an equilavent combination of training, educaiton and expereince.
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • First Aid Level 1
