Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a compassionate and professional Infirmier(ière) Auxiliaire (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join its dedicated team at its Sherbrooke, QC residence. The selected candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality nursing care, ensuring residents’ well-being, comfort, and dignity within a warm, respectful, and collaborative environment.

As a vital member of the nursing team, you will provide personal care, administer prescribed treatments, monitor residents’ health conditions, and promote safety and quality of life. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in accordance with established standards and procedures.

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and record resident health status accurately.

• Support residents in their daily activities and promote their physical and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

• Respond promptly to residents’ needs, emergencies, and any changes in condition.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of all resident information.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Promote and uphold the values and culture of Chartwell through professionalism, empathy, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: DEP in Health, Assistance, and Nursing (Infirmier auxiliaire).

• Certifications Required:

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

  • General First Aid.

  • Safe Resident Handling (PDSB).

• Experience: 1 to 3 years in a similar nursing or caregiving position.

• Professional Membership: Member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ).
