Description:
Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a compassionate and professional Infirmier(ière) Auxiliaire (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join its dedicated team at its Sherbrooke, QC residence. The selected candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality nursing care, ensuring residents’ well-being, comfort, and dignity within a warm, respectful, and collaborative environment.
As a vital member of the nursing team, you will provide personal care, administer prescribed treatments, monitor residents’ health conditions, and promote safety and quality of life. The position requires a professional who embodies empathy, teamwork, and a strong commitment to service excellence, consistent with Chartwell’s values of R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
Provide safe and effective nursing care in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and record resident health status accurately.
Support residents in their daily activities and promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Respond promptly to residents’ needs, emergencies, and any changes in condition.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of all resident information.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
Promote and uphold the values and culture of Chartwell through professionalism, empathy, and teamwork.
Education: DEP in Health, Assistance, and Nursing (Infirmier auxiliaire).
Certifications Required:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
General First Aid.
Safe Resident Handling (PDSB).
Experience: 1 to 3 years in a similar nursing or caregiving position.
Professional Membership: Member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ).
