Description:

Raymond James Independent Financial Services – Filo Financial Solutions is seeking a Licensed Financial Advisor Assistant to join their Calgary office. This role is designed for a professional with strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills to assist Financial Advisors in growing their wealth management business and providing exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will have a meticulous attention to detail, a positive attitude, and strong organizational abilities to handle a range of administrative and client service tasks in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and following up on security transactions, account openings, transfers, and trades (once licensed).

  • Managing daily debits, credits, and inbound/outbound transactions.

  • Handling client calls, inquiries, and fostering strong client relationships.

  • Preparing portfolio reviews, updating accounts, and ensuring compliance with KYCs and risk profiles.

  • Coordinating event planning, correspondence, and report preparation.

  • Managing office documentation, banking processes, and data entry for financial plans.

  • Assisting with basic marketing, social media updates, and website content changes.

  • Coordinating office supplies and covering office phone lines.

  • Supporting Financial Advisors in business development and client acquisition.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of investment industry experience or equivalent post-secondary education.

  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conducts and Practices Handbook (CPH), and WME.

  • Insurance license is an asset (ability to assist with insurance quotations and client documentation).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with Dataphile or equivalent transaction software.

  • Superior customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to participate in community building initiatives.
