Description:

  • Lead, support, and coach a team of learning partners.
    • Provide vision and clear objectives.
    • Assume responsibility for building, developing, and coaching a cross-functional team to ensure continuous performance, greater engagement, and ongoing efficiency.
    • Coach and support the team in the development of learning strategies, including learning plans for launches and established brands for both brand and field teams.
    • Participate in the AbbVie performance cycle.
    • Ensure efficient employee on-boarding and off boarding.
    • Coach team members to collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Human Resources (HR) and Customer Excellence colleagues within a program matrix to ensure the development and implementation of training strategies across the Canadian affiliate.
  • Drive business and organizational success
    • Understand the business and ensure alignment to company and business unit goals, performance targets, and key results.
    • Determine the “why”: Identifying, prioritizing, and communicating the gaps.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market landscape, therapeutic area, and brand strategies in your portfolio.
    • Collaborate with the AbbVie Global Learning team, leveraging their programs to introduce innovation and efficiency to the Canadian affiliate
    • Effectively manage vendor relationships and the team’s budget.
  • Blend experiences and formal solutions to achieve the desired outcome (Blended Learning)
    • Develop and implement the best blend of solutions based on business needs, gaps, intended outcomes, and design.
    • Incorporate a delivery mechanism (or mechanisms) that allows for effective knowledge acquisition and ample practice opportunities.
    • Use learner-centered methods that create a meaningful, engaging, and relevant experience for learners.
    • Facilitate learning initiatives and train the facilitator.
    • Work cross-functionally to develop and deliver learning initiatives.
  • Drive needs assessments
    • Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs, including performance gaps, their causes, and identify solutions.
    • Establish KPIs and measures.
  • Measure and evaluate solutions
    • Create a Kirkpatrick measurement strategy including key performance indicators or learning events.
    • Summarize and report data to the team and other internal stakeholders to demonstrate how the performance solution impacted business outcomes.
    • Determine and implement refinements of the performance solution based on data results.
