Lead Devops Engineer

Description:

We’re seeking a highly technical, hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to join our client’s Firmwide Developer Tools & Systems group (MSDE). You’ll help modernize the SDLC platform used by 12,000+ developers—building next-gen development, automation, and deployment tooling across diverse tech stacks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop tooling and automation to modernize SDLC workflows.
Collaborate with global teams to enable deployment automation to private & public cloud and SaaS-based tooling.
Build next-gen developer productivity, build, and deployment systems.
Support large-scale engineering teams in an agile, distributed environment.

Required Skills
Strong Python development experience (Java, C#, or Typescript is an asset).
Deep understanding of SDLC tools & processes.
Experience with SCM, code review systems, CI/CD, build tools, test frameworks, code quality tools, IDEs.
Prior experience on large-scale projects in agile, global environments.
Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for understanding systems deeply.
Desired Skills
Experience building tooling for version control, build automation, CI (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), Jira, etc.
Deployment orchestration with Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Cloud integration with AWS/Azure.
Strong Kubernetes & containerization experience.
Linux/Windows system administration.
Cloud experience in deploying & maintaining applications.
