Mors & Tribute Tax Law, a reputable boutique tax law firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a competent and highly organized Law Clerk or Paralegal to join their Tax Disputes and Controversy team. This role is pivotal in supporting legal professionals in handling tax litigation and dispute resolution cases.

As a Law Clerk/Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and organization of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and client correspondence. You will manage case files diligently, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and current while maintaining meticulous records of all communications.

The role demands efficient coordination with lawyers, clients, and court offices to schedule hearings, meetings, and critical deadlines. You will handle file management, billing coordination, and the production of legal documents, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Candidates must be capable of managing a substantial volume of legal files, juggling competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Strong organizational skills, logical thinking, and the ability to anticipate outcomes are essential. A proactive approach, multitasking ability, and capacity to work independently or as part of a collaborative team are highly valued.

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), electronic data management systems, Adobe applications, and SharePoint is required. Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills is necessary to clearly and objectively communicate with various stakeholders.

Additional assets include the ability to work in French, prior experience in tax law, and comfort with occasional overtime during peak periods or court filing deadlines.
