Rich Products Corporation (Rich’s), a globally recognized, family-owned food company with operations in over 100 locations worldwide and annual sales exceeding $4 billion, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager to join its Industrial Channel team in Woodbridge, Ontario. Known for innovation and customer focus, Rich’s provides a wide portfolio of food solutions ranging from cakes and icings to pizza, appetizers, toppings, and bakery items, helping customers stay competitive in the evolving foodservice and retail industries.
The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and expanding partnerships within the industrial sector. This specialized role requires a blend of sales expertise, customer relationship management, and technical understanding of food manufacturing operations. The individual will be responsible for growing market share, meeting volume and margin targets, and ensuring strong customer satisfaction through strategic account planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with industrial customers, distributors, and co-manufacturers to understand market needs and identify growth opportunities.
Develop and execute strategic annual account plans for top clients, aligning with business objectives, profit goals, and market insights.
Drive sales growth by securing new customers and strengthening existing relationships, ensuring consistent delivery of the “Rich Experience.”
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with distributor contacts and leverage industry functions, trade shows, sales meetings, and training sessions.
Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, overseeing sales deal entry, order processes, and customer service coordination.
Effectively utilize sales systems and tools such as Salesforce, SDS, and Blacksmith for account management and reporting.
Participate actively in portfolio training, business reviews, and distributor engagements to enhance product knowledge and business impact.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or Marketing).
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, ideally in food manufacturing, CPG, or a closely related industry.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making.
Solid financial acumen with understanding of P&L statements.
Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce, SDS, and Blacksmith is a strong asset.
Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer-focused approach.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., product sample cases).
Ability to stand for extended periods (e.g., trade shows, product demos).
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
