Junior Software Developer

Description:

Our Software Department’s is looking for someone who has ability to write custom code to support new and existing contracts across multiple databases. The ideal candidate will provide support for employees internal to the company, as well as, being a technical customer liaison, between Renaissance and our customer on existing or creating new automation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in both daily scrums and bi-weekly sprint planning.
• Designing, implementing, and releasing iterations of software projects for both internal and external consumption.
• Designing and executing test plans and documenting results.
• Fixing bugs and providing database support as needed.
• Working in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.

Education & Experience:

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years relevant work experience within the telecom industry preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be effective problem solver that can work independently.
• Have strong English language verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Object oriented design and development with languages such as C, C#, or Java.
• Experience with NiFi a definite asset
• Experience with web development using JavaScript, React, Redux, Visual Studio Code, or comparable IDE
• Working with REST endpoints
• Understanding of Scrum/Agile principles
• Experience with ERP and manufacturing processes would be a definite asset
