Java Developer

Description:

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Java Developer for our Federal Government client.

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 

• Analyze, design, and implement enhancements to meet business requirements (regulatory driven and

technology evergreening)

• Perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and make recommendation for correction.
• Promote development practices such as test-driven development and DevOps.
• Adopt and champion the current frameworks that have been built to automate and modernize the

Findur application.

• Other related activities and deliverables, as required

Required Qualifications & Skills
The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:

• University degree or college diploma in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination

of education and experience may be considered.

• A minimum of three (5) years of demonstrated experience with Java-based application development

using Eclipse IDE, preferably with Oracle RDBMS in the backend.

• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience with RDBMS databases, solid understanding

of SQL.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting applications with high-criticality, availability, reliability, and

security requirements.

• Demonstrated experience with Findur or Endur. Candidates without direct experience are encouraged to

apply if they have a strong background in financial technology platforms and demonstrate the ability to
learn new systems quickly.

Additional Qualifications
The following will also be considered:

• Demonstrated experience with Agile projects (SCRUM)
• Demonstrated experience with performance testing.
• Demonstrated experience with financial applications/systems.
• Demonstrated experience with data warehouses.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps (Jenkins, GitHUB)
