Description:

Direct IT Recruiting Inc., a WBE Canada Certified firm, is seeking an experienced IT Vendor Data & Analytics Specialist for a remote role supporting a leading client in the healthcare sector. This is a 6-month contract position with strong potential to transition into a full-time permanent role.

The specialist will design, develop, and maintain AI-powered dashboards and reporting solutions for IT vendor management, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of data operations. The role requires strong technical expertise in BI tools, ETL/automation, and advanced AI/ML applications for predictive analytics and anomaly detection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and AI-driven analytics solutions (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks).

  • Lead data governance initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity across vendor data (contracts, performance, financials).

  • Automate and streamline workflows using APIs, Power Query, Data Flows, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Finance) to align vendor analytics with organizational goals.

  • Apply AI/ML models for predictive analytics and anomaly detection to assess vendor risks and performance.

  • Document processes, data flows, and automation logic for scalability and reusability.

  • Evaluate, integrate, and recommend AI/automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Fabric.

  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Relevant certifications such as:

    • Microsoft Power BI

    • Data Engineering (e.g., Microsoft DP-203)

    • AI/ML (e.g., Azure AI)

    • ITIL (asset)

Requirements:

  • 8–10 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or vendor data management

  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, APIs, and automation tools

  • Hands-on experience with vendor management systems (ServiceNow, Workday, Fieldglass, Salesforce/GovernX, SharePoint)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Willingness to travel quarterly to Dallas, Texas (4 days per trip)

Contract Type:

  • 6-month contract (remote, Canada-based)

  • Intention to convert to permanent full-time employment
