Description:
Direct IT Recruiting Inc., a WBE Canada Certified firm, is seeking an experienced IT Vendor Data & Analytics Specialist for a remote role supporting a leading client in the healthcare sector. This is a 6-month contract position with strong potential to transition into a full-time permanent role.
The specialist will design, develop, and maintain AI-powered dashboards and reporting solutions for IT vendor management, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of data operations. The role requires strong technical expertise in BI tools, ETL/automation, and advanced AI/ML applications for predictive analytics and anomaly detection.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and AI-driven analytics solutions (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks).
Lead data governance initiatives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity across vendor data (contracts, performance, financials).
Automate and streamline workflows using APIs, Power Query, Data Flows, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Finance) to align vendor analytics with organizational goals.
Apply AI/ML models for predictive analytics and anomaly detection to assess vendor risks and performance.
Document processes, data flows, and automation logic for scalability and reusability.
Evaluate, integrate, and recommend AI/automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Fabric.
Provide clear communication to stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Relevant certifications such as:
Microsoft Power BI
Data Engineering (e.g., Microsoft DP-203)
AI/ML (e.g., Azure AI)
ITIL (asset)
Requirements:
8–10 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or vendor data management
Strong knowledge of Power BI, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, APIs, and automation tools
Hands-on experience with vendor management systems (ServiceNow, Workday, Fieldglass, Salesforce/GovernX, SharePoint)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Willingness to travel quarterly to Dallas, Texas (4 days per trip)
