Description:
Our client, located in the Niagara Region, is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide front-line technical support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for supporting end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with Microsoft 365 and network connectivity support.
Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the primary local point of contact for IT incidents and service requests via the ticketing system and phone
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for Windows desktops and laptops, including performance, login, software, and peripheral issues
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint (basic usage and access support)
- Perform standard user account tasks following approved procedures, including password resets, account unlocks, MFA enrollment assistance, and basic access requests
- Perform basic printer troubleshooting for network printers, including scanning functions and print queue issues
- Provide basic Wi-Fi and device connectivity troubleshooting from an end-user perspective
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding activities, including workstation setup and user support
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and support activities within the ticketing system
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when required
- Maintain excellent customer service while supporting internal users across multiple departments
Mandatory Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT Support, Help Desk, or Technical Support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and basic network connectivity issues
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with ticketing systems is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field is preferred
