Description:
Modern Niagara, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, is seeking a highly capable and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to join its IT team in Leduc, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure support, networking, user assistance, and onboarding new hires. Provide first-line IT support for all end-user computing, mobile devices, and applications.
Manage infrastructure and networking systems, ensuring consistent performance and security.
Handle incoming IT support requests via phone and email in a courteous and timely manner.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve both hardware and software-related issues.
Install and configure hardware, software, anti-virus tools, and remote access solutions.
Maintain and update Microsoft Intune for device management and Active Directory (AD) for user and group administration.
Support Microsoft Office and Exchange for productivity and email management.
Record and document all problem-solving processes, including outcomes and resolutions.
Perform preventative maintenance on computers, printers, and other peripherals.
Test implemented solutions to ensure successful resolution and end-user satisfaction.
Create and maintain internal knowledge bases, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with IT teammates and external vendors to optimize software and system performance.
Provide remote and deskside support to employees across multiple locations.
Travel to Calgary twice monthly to support onsite IT operations.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune, Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Office, and Exchange.
Experience in providing IT support both remotely and in person.
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
Familiarity with infrastructure and networking concepts and remote support tools.
Comfort working with operational technologies and proprietary software or hardware.
Prior experience in the construction or building services industry is an asset.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to perform light and heavy lifting as required for equipment setup.
Availability to travel to Calgary twice a month.
