Description:
OISE at the University of Toronto is seeking an IT professional to join the Education Commons team. This dynamic, collaborative, and innovative team is responsible for supporting and securing OISE’s end points, including end-user devices, digital signage, virtual labs, printing, and networking equipment. You will play a key role in the design, support, maintenance, and security of these systems and ensure they meet technological standards through patch management, vulnerability management, and device management tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, and server issues.
Test and analyze new or upgraded software and hardware.
Track service metrics to drive service improvement.
Install and configure endpoint devices with security measures.
Troubleshoot printing infrastructure and ensure operational efficiency.
Monitor system performance and integrity to support decision-making processes.
Create user documentation and improve processes and procedures for managing OISE end points.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience with Microsoft InTune, PowerShell scripting, software packaging, and deployment techniques.
5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management.
Proficient in managing devices in both virtual and physical environments (particularly in a computer lab setup).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and security best practices for managing infrastructure and endpoints.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Assets (Nonessential):
Microsoft certifications related to Azure and Desktop Management.
Cybersecurity and ITIL certifications.
Project management certification.
