It Project Manager

IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research, data analytics, and healthcare intelligence, is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) IT Project Manager to join its Global Technology & Operations (GTO) team in Mississauga, Ontario. This hybrid position focuses on managing IT post-merger and acquisition integration projects, playing a key role in delivering business synergies and ensuring smooth transitions for acquired organizations.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, integrating IT systems, infrastructure, and operations following mergers or acquisitions. You will lead projects through all phases — from planning to execution — ensuring alignment with IQVIA’s global M&A integration framework. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and execute IT integration project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, risks, and issue management.

• Oversee pre- and post-close IT activities aligned with the defined M&A integration strategy and due diligence outcomes.

• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and coordination across local and global business and technical teams.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, acquired company representatives, and external vendors to ensure project success.

• Monitor project progress, providing regular updates on timelines, risks, and dependencies to leadership.

• Identify and mitigate potential risks, escalating critical issues when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with IQVIA’s GTO M&A Integration Framework and maintain high standards of quality across deliverables.

• Supervise and motivate team members to achieve project milestones within the established timeframe.

• Oversee change management processes, ensuring seamless adoption of new systems and practices.

• Manage documentation, ensuring accuracy and transparency in project reporting and deliverables.

Candidate Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management with direct exposure to M&A or post-merger integration projects.

• Experience in IT infrastructure, IT service management, and end-user computing environments.

• Strong understanding of U.S. compliance standards and certifications such as HIPAA and HITRUST.

• PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).

• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and best practices.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
