Maxwell GeoServices (maxgeo) is a leading supplier of Data Management Solutions to the Mining industry. Currently there is an opportunity for an IT Manager to join our team, based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Experience with mining workflows in both an open pit and underground environment is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic self-starter, capable of working within a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail with superior client focus and communication skills is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

· Handle incoming support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system

· Accurately triage and prioritize tickets

· Troubleshoot laptop, email, printer, connectivity, onboarding/termination issues

· Provide clear, user-friendly communication to staff and clients

· Escalate unresolved issues when needed

· Follow up and ensure timely resolution for all assigned tasks

· Maintain accurate notes and documentation

· Stay positive, proactive, and solution-focused

 

Required skills:

· Minimum 12 months in an IT helpdesk or technical support role

· Strong customer service and communication skills

· Basic working knowledge of:

-Microsoft 365 admin & support

-Active Directory (user/group management)

-Windows Server and Windows 11 environments

-Remote desktop tools

· Relevant IT qualification (Cert IV, Diploma or similar)

· Excellent time management and willingness to learn

· MSP experience highly regarded but not essential

Desirable skills:

· AWS/Azure architecture knowledge

· Experience with DattoRRM and Atlassian products
