Role Summary
NearSource is seeking a Hardware Asset Management Analyst to support enterprise PC lifecycle operations for a global technology initiative. This role focuses on asset lifecycle management, inventory tracking, operational workflows, and data integrity across distributed environments. The selected candidate will contribute to standardized processes, reporting accuracy, and cross-regional operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day PC lifecycle operations, including IT asset disposition, device refresh requests, and hardware-related intake workflows.
- Manage ITSM tickets, shared inbox queues, and intake processes aligned with operational SLAs.
- Track and maintain hardware inventory across office hubs and vendor partner locations.
- Maintain and update asset databases, metadata structures, and lifecycle records.
- Drive data standardization, cleansing, and consistency across asset management systems.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, knowledge base articles, and process guidelines.
- Support user acceptance testing for lifecycle tools, workflows, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate operational support across global regions, including APAC and EMEA.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports on inventory, deployment timelines, and asset data quality.
- Support SAP asset alignment activities and retroactive record updates.
- Maintain hardware catalogs, laptop standards, and vendor documentation.
- Track device procurement details, including ETA, pricing, and supply chain updates.
Must-Have Skills
- Proven experience in hardware asset management and IT asset lifecycle operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics related to IT hardware.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Wolken.
- Proficiency in tools such as AirTable, Power BI, Excel, and Office 365.
- Experience managing ticketing systems, intake queues, and shared operational inboxes.
- Strong data management, reporting, and documentation capabilities.
- Experience supporting UAT and validating operational workflows or system changes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional teams.
- Capability to support operations across multiple time zones.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with SAP or financial asset management systems.
- Familiarity with vendor or VAR coordination processes.
- Exposure to hardware catalog management, laptop standards, or peripherals.
- Experience in global PC lifecycle or enterprise hardware operations.
Certifications
- Relevant IT asset management or IT service management certifications are considered an asset.
