Description:
The IT Coordinator seeks guidance from the Chief Financial Officer on new or complex matters, strategic technology decisions, or situations where vendor non‑compliance presents potential security, privacy, or regulatory risk. The role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and adherence to protocol, with full accountability for work quality, strict confidentiality of sensitive information, and timely resolution or enhancement of technology services. Through this role, MSBA’s IT strategy is actively advanced and refreshed, staff and leadership benefit from secure and efficient access to information, approved AI and modern workplace tools are used responsibly to support productivity, technology changes are clearly communicated and supported through training, and IT vendors consistently meet defined security and performance benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Coordination and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate and continuously improve MSBA’s core technology services, ensuring reliability, availability, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Translate business and operational requirements into practical, secure technology solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead adoption of modern workplace tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, AI), including readiness assessments, rollout, training, and change support.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and training opportunities to enhance productivity, security, and user experience.
- Systems Administration and Lifecycle Monitoring
- Administer, maintain, and optimize core IT systems and enterprise applications, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
- Lead system upgrades, configuration changes, modernization initiatives, and lifecycle planning, ensuring minimal disruption and validated outcomes.
- Monitor system performance, risks, and service trends; proactively address issues and coordinate planned maintenance and releases.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, inventories, and configuration records to support continuity, audit readiness, and operational resilience.
- Security and Compliance Management
- Establish and maintain data governance and security controls to support secure collaboration, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and oversee security measures including identity management, MFA, access controls, patching, logging, and AI data protections.
- Coordinate security monitoring, incident response, and compliance activities with third‑party providers, ensuring issues are investigated and resolved.
- Maintain auditable evidence of security controls and participate in vendor risk, security, and compliance reviews.
- Third Party Vendor and Licensing Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison with third‑party IT vendors, ensuring accountability, service quality, and alignment with MSBA standards.
- Lead vendor selection processes (RFI/RFP), including scope definition, evaluation criteria, cost‑benefit analysis, and recommendations.
- Oversee vendor performance, incident reporting, and service improvements, including security and configuration compliance.
- Support IT governance, licensing, contracts, and cloud vendor strategy, including onboarding criteria and exit planning.
