It Auditor

Description:

TC Energy is seeking a dedicated and innovative IT Auditor to join their Internal Audit team in Calgary, AB. The role involves planning and conducting IT audits of TC Energy and its subsidiaries, providing independent and objective reviews, and delivering data-driven, value-added recommendations. This position requires creativity and the ability to challenge traditional approaches to provide fresh perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and execute IT audit plans, including risk assessments, audit scope and objectives, and development of audit programs.

• Lead or assist in audits or projects, including client discussions, audit testing, reviewing controls, risk mitigation, and documentation in compliance with IIA and department standards.

• Identify complex and sensitive issues, providing alternative solutions and recommendations.

• Prepare formal audit reports with observations and recommendations, communicating results to management.

• Follow-up on audit recommendations to evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.

• Participate in Internal Audit data analytics and continuous monitoring programs.

• Conduct research on technical or best-practice standards and provide actionable recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University Degree or College Diploma in business or IT.

• Professional designation such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent experience.

• 6+ years of IT auditing experience (including SAP and Cyber Security) or 4+ years IT-related experience.

• Data analytics experience using tools such as ACL, PowerBI, etc.

• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IIA Standards and risk-based audit methodologies.

• Experience auditing ICS/SCADA systems.

• Experience with audit management software (e.g., Audit Board).

• Ability to work in Spanish.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract.

• Travel to other company locations and occasional overnight stays required.

• Valid passport and eligibility for domestic, cross-border, and international travel (USA, Mexico).

• Background checks (bankruptcy, credit, civil, criminal) required.
