Description:
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) is seeking a skilled Investment Associate to join its Private Credit team within the Capital Markets division in Toronto, ON. This role involves active participation in sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct private credit investments globally. The successful candidate will also monitor portfolio performance, develop investment theses, and contribute to the team’s strategic initiatives.

The position offers exposure to a diverse set of credit products and collaboration with various investment teams, including Equities, Infrastructure, Venture Growth, and Real Estate.
Evaluate, conduct due diligence, and execute private credit investment opportunities.
Develop investment theses and prepare detailed memos for underwriting committee presentations.
Perform advanced financial modeling, including projections, sensitivity analysis, valuations, and return analysis.
Monitor the performance of portfolio investments and provide ongoing evaluation.
Support strategic initiatives, reporting requirements, and deal execution processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify and execute high-quality investment opportunities.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment or transaction-related roles (investment banking, private credit, private equity, or transaction advisory).
High proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and quantitative analysis.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver within tight deadlines.
Experience with due diligence and deal execution processes.
