Investment Analyst

Description:

• Recommendation, research and analysis of relevant companies and sectors
• Fundamental security and industry analysis to identify companies with superior risk-return profiles
• Ability to incorporate thematic investments themes and macro developments into the stock selection process
• Meeting with company management, industry experts and other specialists
• Quantitative modeling and analysis for security and industry selection
• Maintenance and update of various analytical tools used to evaluate stocks for inclusion in various funds across CIGAM
• Documenting research ideas and investment rationales
• Maintaining a list of top recommendations in the real estate sector
• Communicating high conviction recommendations to the rest of the group
• Presentations to internal clients about stock selection and investment ideas.
• Working closely with other analysts and PMs within the Real Estate team and the broader CIGAM investment team
• Ongoing participation in research and process improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the investment industry in the capacity of providing investment research and recommendations at an individual company level.
• Experience in analyzing real estate related companies

Education

• University degree with a preference for economics, finance or studies relevant to covering and real estate related companies.
• CFA.
