As an Internal Sales Associate (Associé(e), Ventes internes), you will play a key role in supporting business development, expanding the firm’s client base, and strengthening relationships with financial advisors and planners across Canada. You will partner closely with an assigned Vice President of Retail Sales (external wholesaler) to promote investment strategies, build advisor engagement, and drive growth in assets under management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and expand the network of financial advisors using a consultative sales approach to position Picton’s investment strategies (hedge funds, liquid alternatives, mutual funds, ETFs, long/short portfolios).

  • Support and collaborate with your assigned external wholesaler (Vice President, Retail Sales) by sharing innovative ideas and executing strategic business initiatives to increase advisor engagement and assets under management (AUM).

  • Assist in developing territory business plans, identifying new opportunities through IIROC and MFDA channels.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales activity targets including outbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, and advisor appointments.

  • Provide excellent service to financial advisors and clients, ensuring high-quality follow-ups and strong coordination with the external wholesaler.

  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of investment products, including mutual funds, hedge funds, ETFs, and portfolio solutions.

  • Log and track all advisor interactions and sales pipeline activities in Salesforce CRM with detailed and actionable notes.

  • Participate actively in team meetings, strategy sessions, and contribute best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), or active pursuit within the first year of employment, is required.

  • Additional designations such as CIM, CFA (Level I+), or CFP are considered strong assets.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, client service, or business development in financial services, investments, or wealth management.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills (written and verbal).

  • Bilingualism (French & English) is mandatory.

  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, persistent, and motivated to build a long-term career in investment distribution.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.
