Insurance Voluntary Benefits Distribution Manager

Prudential’s Group Insurance (GI) Distribution organization is looking for energetic leaders to join their Group Insurance Voluntary Benefits Distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Prudential’s sales organization, brokers, consultants, customers, and third-party providers to drive the growth of voluntary solutions. You will work across market segments and leverage your expertise to execute Prudential’s voluntary benefits strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and protect voluntary revenue through participation in customer and broker meetings, selling new business, additional issuance, and increasing enrollment results.

  • Provide market-leading service, enrollment solutions, and customer retention.

  • Provide strategic direction on voluntary benefit products and services to regional distribution teams.

  • Partner with regional distribution leads and underwriting to build business plans for achieving new issue, enrollment, and persistency targets.

  • Recommend the development of voluntary/worksite solutions for employers and brokers.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for professional development and product knowledge.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction for voluntary benefit products and services.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure that producer and customer needs are met in alignment with the Group Insurance strategy.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of proven sales experience in the voluntary/worksite benefits market, with expertise in products such as Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Permanent Life, Voluntary STD, Legal, and Identity Theft.

  • Proven track record of creating enrollment and service solutions with measurable outcomes.

  • Exceptional knowledge of and relationships in the broker/producer, enrollment firm, and platform communities.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on transparency and execution.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and partnership skills to deliver results in a cross-functional and matrix environment.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity in a matrixed organization and effectively guide and influence across multiple functional areas.

  • Strong understanding of the voluntary/worksite insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective.

  • Ability to identify and understand business trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

  • Active Life and Health Insurance license or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Base salary: $150,000, plus applicable sales commissions and/or bonuses.
