Description:
We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, IT, Security & Compliance, the IT Manager is accountable for the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable IT services that enable the company to operate efficiently in a regulated fintech environment. The role ensures technology systems support a globally distributed, fully remote workforce while meeting security, compliance, and business requirements.
The Information Technology (IT) Manager will be local to Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is a remote / work from home opportunity with periodic in-office meetings.
Key Accountabilities
- Own overall corporate IT operations and service delivery.
- Manage IT tooling, access, devices, and vendor relationships.
- Support employees globally across multiple time zones.
- Operate effectively within regulated and audited environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001/27017/27018).
- Lead, coach, and develop the IT team.
IT Strategy & Operations
- Execute an IT strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems.
- Manage the IT budget, vendors, procurement, and the asset lifecycle.
- Partner with Security & Compliance to maintain required controls.
- Own execution of identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, device management, and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Coordinate IT incident response, audits, and ongoing risk assessments.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Own administration of corporate SaaS applications, cloud platforms, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and collaboration tools.
- Drive automation and modernization to reduce operational risk and manual effort.
- Ensure secure remote access, business continuity, and disaster readiness.
End-User Support
- Lead IT support services, including onboarding/offboarding, hardware deployment, and ticket resolution.
- Provide consistent, high-quality support for a remote workforce.
Project & Change Management
- Lead IT initiatives such as system migrations, tool implementations, and security rollouts.
- Evaluate new technologies and guide adoption.
- Manage change to minimize disruption and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Decision Rights
- Select and manage IT vendors, tools, and service providers (within budget and security constraints).
- Define standard IT processes, configurations, and support models.
- Approve IT access, device standards, and lifecycle policies.
- Escalate risk, security, and availability issues to executive leadership as required.
Key Interfaces
- Security & Compliance: shared ownership of controls, audits, and incident response.
- Engineering/DevOps: tooling integrations, access models, and infrastructure dependencies.
- People & Culture: onboarding/offboarding, device provisioning, and employee experience.
- Finance: budgeting, vendor spend, and procurement governance.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including people leadership and service delivery ownership.
- Strong expertise with cloud environments and SaaS administration, including IAM, MDM, endpoint security, application management, integrations, and automation.
- Working knowledge of ITIL and related service management frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
