Description:

Equitable, a recognized top employer in the Waterloo Area and Southwestern Ontario, is seeking a Technology Specialist in Information Security to join its Identity Access Management (IAM) Team. This role is central to maintaining and strengthening the organization’s security posture by managing user access, automating identity processes, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

As a Technology Specialist, you will collaborate across IT, security, and compliance teams to deploy, refine, and manage IAM solutions, ensuring robust and efficient access controls across enterprise systems. You will be responsible for provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, maintaining automation scripts, conducting access reviews, and providing technical guidance to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision and deprovision user accounts across Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts to automate IAM workflows, including onboarding/offboarding and role assignments.

  • Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure IAM aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.

  • Administer identity governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Entra, OKTA).

  • Conduct periodic access reviews and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.

  • Provide technical guidance and training on IAM best practices to internal teams.

  • Gather access requirements and implement least privilege access models.

  • Monitor and resolve IAM-related incidents and service requests promptly.

  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for IAM workflows and scripts.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in IAM or related IT field.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, including debugging and optimization.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and group policy management.

  • Understanding of IAM principles (least privilege, RBAC, access certification).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
