The Vancouver School Board (VSB) is seeking fully qualified candidates for multiple Inclusive Education Teacher positions in Vancouver, BC. These are full-time continuing roles with comprehensive benefits, requiring availability for daily work assignments, including long-term vacancies and temporary roles such as medical or parental leaves. In the absence of such vacancies, day-to-day work is guaranteed.

Teachers will work in a variety of settings, from inclusive classrooms to specialized self-contained environments, supporting students with developmental disabilities and/or autism. The role requires a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach, working with families, school staff, and external professionals such as therapists and medical personnel.
Deliver direct instruction using diverse teaching and behavioral management strategies
Conduct formal and informal assessments, including classroom observation
Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Utilize Functional Behaviour Assessments to design positive behavior support plans
Maintain ongoing liaison with parents, school and district staff, and health professionals
Actively contribute to team-based collaboration to support student success
Bachelor of Education
One of the following additional credentials:
Master’s in Special Education
Diploma in Special Education
One-year full-time continuing contract as a Resource Teacher
Eligibility for membership with the Teacher Regulation Branch
Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
Teaching evaluations or practicum reports as applicable
