Description:
We are seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Mill Mechanical Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is responsible for providing repairs, overhauls, and new installations to mining-related HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance related to HVAC services.
- Repair, service, and rebuild equipment as directed.
- Participate in developing and building preventative maintenance schedules and objectives.
- Support all departmental initiatives with a concentration on preventative maintenance and construction.
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair HVAC piping and related equipment on site.
- Ensure proper air circulation on the air handler by balancing airflow.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform low-voltage wiring and handle BAS system Direct Digital Controllers.
- Diagnose and perform mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs to HVAC equipment.
- Maintain backup boiler unit.
- Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action as required.
- Perform operational equipment checks and filter replacements.
- Operate mobile equipment and overhead cranes.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Follow health and safety policies to ensure environmental protection.
- Collaborate with planning departments and shop personnel to ensure maintenance requirements are met.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
Required Experience And Skill Set
- Dual trade designation/certification is considered an asset.
- 5+ years of relevant professional work experience.
