Merit Ontario, a leading construction association that supports companies across the province with their workforce needs, is seeking a motivated 313D HVAC Apprentice on behalf of a small HVAC company in Hamilton, ON. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about building a career in the HVAC trade, eager to learn, and committed to professional growth.

The role offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to both installation and service work, and steady project assignments. The apprentice will work closely with an experienced technician, gaining valuable field knowledge and skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Support HVAC installations and service calls under the guidance of a seasoned technician.

• Perform tasks assigned with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to safety standards.

• Learn troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance techniques in a practical, on-site setting.

• Assist with project setup, equipment handling, and basic technical work.

• Demonstrate responsibility, reliability, and readiness to work independently when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum G3 Gas Technician license.

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

• Commitment to pursuing a long-term career in HVAC.

• Resides in or near Hamilton, ON (local applicants strongly preferred).

• Ability to work independently as well as in a small team.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Prior hands-on HVAC experience or formal training in the trade.

• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
