Description:

AAR Corp, a global leader in aerospace and defense aftermarket solutions, is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead its HR functions at the Windsor, Ontario site. This key leadership position will support organizational growth, workforce engagement, and compliance while fostering a high-performance culture in alignment with AAR’s mission and values.

The selected candidate will work closely with senior leadership, HR teams, and employees across all levels to implement talent management programs, resolve employee relations issues, and ensure HR governance and compliance. This is a high-impact, full-time on-site role ideal for HR professionals with strong strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and experience within regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR initiatives aligned with organizational strategy, including talent acquisition, development, and retention.

  • Develop and execute HR objectives in alignment with company goals.

  • Foster and manage positive employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement strategies.

  • Oversee the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services and support.

  • Ensure compliance with employment law, governance, and company policies.

  • Manage salary administration to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Lead performance management and employee development programs.

  • Collaborate with teams on Total Rewards and DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) initiatives.

  • Conduct investigations, generate reports, and lead compliance audits.

  • Represent HR in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Facilitate regular HR reporting and communications across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or related field with concentration in HR.

  • CHRP designation considered an asset.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management or director role.

  • Experience in federally regulated companies and knowledge of the Canada Labour Code is an asset.

  • Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience using HRIS and ERP systems.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Details:

  • Office-based role; no shift work.

  • Periodic overtime and travel may be required (e.g., job fairs, conferences).

  • Must be comfortable regularly visiting the hangar floor.
