Gecko Hospitality – Ontario is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Hotel General Manager to lead the operations of a prominent hotel located near the airport in Toronto, ON. The property boasts over 250 rooms and a suite of premium amenities, including a heated indoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness studio, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring efficient and seamless guest experiences from check-in to check-out.

• Implement strategic financial, sales, and operational plans to maximize profitability and exceed revenue targets.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

• Uphold brand standards across departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and facilities.

• Analyze market trends and implement innovative strategies to maintain competitiveness and grow market share.

• Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and empathy, implementing VIP guest service enhancements.

• Promote the hotel in the community and establish relationships with key stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory standards across the property.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury, full-service, or resort properties.

• Experience managing unionized staff is preferred.

• Strong background in financial planning, guest satisfaction, and operational strategy.

• Outstanding leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

• Proven ability to problem-solve and maintain high service standards in a dynamic environment.
