St. George’s School of Montreal is inviting applications for a High School French Teacher to fill a 100% full-time replacement position for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and inclusive educational environment dedicated to student engagement, linguistic excellence, and cultural awareness.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering French language instruction across Grades 6, 9, 10, and 11, tailoring lessons to both French as a second language and French as a first language learners. The ideal teacher will foster a deep appreciation for Francophone culture, promote dynamic learning experiences, and create an inclusive, student-centered classroom.
Grade 6 — Art dramatique en français langue seconde
Grade 9 — Français intégration
Grade 10 — Français langue maternelle
Grade 11 — Français langue maternelle
Develop and deliver engaging lessons and assessments aligned with Ministry of Education programs and the school’s educational vision.
Support the mission, values, and regulations of the school.
Actively participate in faculty meetings, department planning, parent-teacher conferences, and other school community events.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and pursue ongoing professional development.
Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom that encourages student collaboration, creativity, and participation.
Apply differentiated instruction and innovative teaching methods to promote French language fluency and cultural appreciation.
Bachelor’s degree in Secondary French Education (first or second language) or equivalent.
Teaching certification (brevet) or qualifying Master’s degree in progress.
Experience teaching both French as a first and second language at the high school level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
Strong ability to develop authentic and creative learning materials.
Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
