Heating Systems Technician

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Gas Fitter II to join its Calgary branch. This role involves performing a range of technical and manual tasks to ensure the efficient operation of temporary heating systems, especially during the demanding winter heating season. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, maintain, and dismantle temporary heating systems for construction and industrial sites.

• Work with propane and natural gas systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Service, inspect, and repair construction heaters and heating equipment.

• Operate 1-ton and 2-ton picker trucks to load and unload heating equipment safely.

• Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining a professional and safety-first approach.

• Perform manual labor as required to support smooth branch operations, particularly during peak winter months.

• Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to meet operational goals.

Requirements:

• Must be a registered 2nd or 3rd year apprentice in the provincial Gasfitter program.

• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Prior experience in temporary construction heating systems is required.

• Strong ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision and within team settings.

• Willingness to work overtime, on-call shifts, and weekends when necessary.

• Must adhere to company Safety Sensitive policies and maintain safety compliance at all times.
