Description:
United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Gas Fitter II to join its Calgary branch. This role involves performing a range of technical and manual tasks to ensure the efficient operation of temporary heating systems, especially during the demanding winter heating season. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in a provincial Gasfitter apprenticeship program who are passionate about the construction and industrial heating sector and want to build a long-term career with a reputable organization.
Install, service, maintain, and dismantle temporary heating systems for construction and industrial sites.
Work with propane and natural gas systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Service, inspect, and repair construction heaters and heating equipment.
Operate 1-ton and 2-ton picker trucks to load and unload heating equipment safely.
Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining a professional and safety-first approach.
Perform manual labor as required to support smooth branch operations, particularly during peak winter months.
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to meet operational goals.
Must be a registered 2nd or 3rd year apprentice in the provincial Gasfitter program.
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in temporary construction heating systems is required.
Strong ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision and within team settings.
Willingness to work overtime, on-call shifts, and weekends when necessary.
Must adhere to company Safety Sensitive policies and maintain safety compliance at all times.
