Description:
The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is seeking a dedicated and culturally attuned Manager, Health and Wellness to lead services at the All Nations Healing House (ANHH) in Williams Lake, BC. This permanent, full-time role is pivotal in improving access to both primary health care and traditional wellness services for First Nations people. The role operates within a team-based care model designed to deliver holistic, culturally safe services closer to home.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight of non-physician, non-NP direct care providers.
Ensure the delivery of effective, efficient clinical services that are culturally safe.
Champion traditional wellness approaches while managing clinical operations.
Collaborate across teams to implement innovative, Indigenous-informed care solutions.
Maintain high standards of health equity and wellness support for First Nations communities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (mandatory); Master’s in health administration, nursing, or related field preferred.
Registered and in good standing with BCCNM (British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives).
6–8 years’ experience in primary care, with 2–5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience working with First Nations communities and providing culturally safe care.
Familiarity with mental health and substance use services considered an asset.
Competency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and encounter coding is beneficial.
Strong skills in financial and human resources management are desirable.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (core hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
