Description:
Novartis, a global pharmaceutical leader impacting millions of lives, is hiring a Graphic Designer for its newly established in-house studio. This is a contract-based role through the external staffing partner Magnit Global, and is ideal for a creative professional seeking to contribute to life-changing healthcare campaigns while working in a dynamic, regulated environment.
The Graphic Designer will create compelling, high-quality visual designs across multiple touchpoints, including promotional materials for both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. This position requires a keen eye for design detail, deep familiarity with brand guidelines, and adherence to regulatory frameworks (PAAB/ASC standards). Designers will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and consistent execution of marketing assets in both print and digital formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead creative conceptualization and design execution for a variety of materials including brochures, email campaigns, forms, banners, presentations, and patient support assets.
Develop production-ready artwork aligned with Novartis brand identity and compliance standards (e.g., PAAB).
Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual standards across all touchpoints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver projects that are visually engaging and on-brand.
Maintain organized file systems, version control, and asset libraries.
Essential Requirements:
2–3 years of hands-on experience as a designer (agency or freelance); experience in pharmaceutical marketing is a major plus.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, and modern design principles backed by a professional portfolio.
Proven experience designing materials for both HCPs and patients in a bilingual (English/French) context.
High attention to detail, particularly in multi-language content and brand compliance.
Fluent use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Familiarity with tools like Figma, Canva, Shaman, and Microsoft Office Suite.
PowerPoint presentation design skills are considered a strong advantage.
Bilingual (English and French) is required.
Contract Details:
Type: Contract (6 months)
Rate: CA$60–CA$89/hr (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Location: On-site in Montreal or hybrid with presence in Toronto
