We support a national network of young leaders as they work to revolutionize mental health in their communities. Our network of 3,000 (and counting!) young people across Canada is as busy as ever, and our staff of 85 humans and 5 dogs are working just as hard.

The Graphic Designer is a bold and passionate self-starter who will execute design from concept to delivery of visual materials that bring our youth mental health programs, content resources, and fundraising events to life. In this role, you will support Content & Communications projects from conception to production, including brand identity work, websites, merchandise, and social campaigns.

You’ll join a collaborative team of other designers, storytellers, mental health advocates, and creative marketers to lead the building and continuous improvement of the Jack.org brand that will impact youth everywhere.

In this role, you will be:

  • Reviewing and delivering upon incoming briefs from channel stakeholders, addressing channel goals, and discussing graphic guidelines
  • Working collaboratively with our team to creatively execute specific graphic design pieces within the guidelines of an overall design direction on a timeline
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to determine requirements and vision for design elements, which may include multiple strategy meetings and multiple levels of approvals
  • Creating multiple different versions of a similar product and sending them through approvals
  • Working in various mediums where your designs can live and seeing your designs through production specifications - Digital sites, t-shirts, print and direct mail, film content, social media, PDFs, etc

 

 

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A portfolio shows your design experience. Bonus if you have education in Integrated Media, Web and Graphic Design or equivalent discipline
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at once and with various deadlines
  • Attention to detail to follow production specifications and that the final product is met free of any errors
  • The creative mindset to be able to bring a design to life with simple instructions
  • Strong organizational skills to keep up with various client needs or team projects
  • Flexibility to be able to switch between projects or pivot quickly should meet the requirements of the project change
