Grain Facility Manager

Description:

This position is responsible for managing the daily activities of a grain facility, including operations, staffing, maintenance, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily facility operations, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep.

• Select, train, develop, and evaluate the performance of the grain worker team.

• Monitor and track logistics, flows, and processing of grain to maximize profitability and minimize shrink.

• Manage facility safety programs, including leading safety committee meetings, safety training, and exposure & root cause analysis investigations.

• Develop annual operating expense and capital budget expense goals.

• Ensure food safety policies and procedures are adhered to, especially for food-grade facilities.

• Take part in all required food safety and quality-related meetings and training events.

• Ensure employees are aware of food safety concerns and requirements.

• Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operations challenges.

• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

• Post-secondary education preferred.

• 5-7 years of relevant experience.
