Description:
A well-established and growth-oriented organization is seeking a General Manager, Operations to lead its business operations and administrative functions. This strategic leadership role is ideal for an experienced operations professional ready to contribute to business growth, team development, and client satisfaction in a specialized industry. Reporting directly to the President, the General Manager will be pivotal in achieving strategic goals, driving operational excellence, and enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational and Strategic Leadership:
Oversee all business operations, including sales, service, logistics, and compliance with industry standards.
Lead strategic planning, performance management, and the implementation of business improvement initiatives.
Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure financial targets are met.
Team Management and Development:
Build and maintain a high-performing team through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and innovation.
Align team structures and resources with organizational needs and goals.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.
Support the expansion of services and client relationships alongside the President.
Ensure fulfillment of contractual agreements and client satisfaction.
Financial and Resource Oversight:
Hold full P&L accountability for programs and services.
Drive productivity, resource utilization, and cost-control initiatives.
Contribute to the development of contingency and business recovery plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (advanced certifications are an asset).
8–10 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role within a mid-to-large-size organization.
Proven track record of driving business growth and operational improvements.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and resource management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with industry-specific tools and standards is a plus.
Ability to travel locally as required.
