Jobot Consulting is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist for a remote locum tenens contract role providing inpatient gastroenterology services in Indiana, USA. This is a premium opportunity for licensed professionals looking to provide critical inpatient coverage without the need for advanced endoscopic procedures.

As part of this contract, you will provide 24-hour on-call coverage from Thursday 5:00 PM to the following Thursday 5:00 PM. The hospital operates with a rotating team of three full-time GI physicians and is seeking locum support to maintain a 1-week-in-5 call rotation schedule. The facility is actively recruiting full-time replacements, and interim coverage is vital to ensuring uninterrupted patient care.

This contract includes full logistical support—credentialing assistance, malpractice coverage, and travel/housing expenses covered—making it a highly attractive and streamlined locum assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage for a 7-day period (Thursday to Thursday).

• Conduct inpatient consults, procedures, and rounds.

• Manage approximately 25 patients per day.

• No requirement for ERCP or EUS procedures.

• Collaborate with the existing GI physician team and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice in Indiana or have Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility.

• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).

• Must be comfortable working on-call for 24-hour coverage over a 7-day period.

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days.
